Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Teal Oak, LLC (“Teal Oak,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit tealoak.com (the “Site”) or book a meeting through it. If you have questions, visit our Contact page.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you book a meeting through the Site’s scheduling calendar, you provide details such as your name, email address, and any notes or answers you include. When you email or message us, we receive the information in your message.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, how you arrived (for example, from a search engine or another website), your device and browser type, and your general location, such as city or country. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; it uses them only briefly to estimate location.

Our website host and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver the Site, protect it from attacks, and keep it running reliably.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits and measures page speed without cookies and without following you to other websites.

How We Use Information

  • To schedule and hold meetings you request, and to respond to your messages
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve its content
  • To keep the Site secure and working properly
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Third-Party Services

The Site relies on a few trusted providers, each with its own privacy policy:

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC), for site analytics. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Google Calendar appointment scheduling (Google LLC), embedded on our Contact page. When the booking calendar loads, Google may set cookies and collect information under the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Information you enter to book a meeting is shared with Google and with us.
  • YouTube (Google LLC), for videos on the About Robert page. Videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you choose to play one. Once a video loads, YouTube may set cookies and collect information under the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
  • Cloudflare, Inc., for website hosting, security, email routing, cookie-free site analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), and our cookie banner.
  • LinkedIn, if you follow a link to our LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn’s privacy policy applies on its site.

We also use standard business tools, such as email services, to communicate with you.

Cookies and Your Choices

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_<ID>) to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can:

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
  • Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
  • Turn Google Analytics on or off with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first, and Google Analytics stays off unless they agree. Elsewhere it is on unless you turn it off, or unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal

We save your cookie choice in a cookie named zaraz-consent so we don’t ask again on every visit.

Blocking analytics cookies won’t prevent you from using the Site.

Data Retention

Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Meeting and email records are kept as long as needed for our business relationship and to meet legal obligations.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or certain U.S. states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, send us a message on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/rrand1/) or visit our Contact page. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also have the right to file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

International Visitors

Teal Oak is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the U.S. and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than where you live.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last revised.
